Letters from Yankton FPC

Yes, I'm back!!!

E-mail Print PDF

Well, I must sincerely apologize to those of you who have been following this site, as I have failed to provide any updates since my return in October. There are many reasons for this, but none of them satisfacotry. The good news is that for the most part, thing are going well for me!

I have been amazed at how much traffic this site gets, and it is obvious that it is mostly viewed by those I have never met. I have been back over 6 months now, and there are still several new people registering on the site every week. I can only assume it is people who either have loved ones at Yankton, or who are sentenced to report there themselves. I will do my best to update this page with any info I may receive about Yankton or the BOP in general, and welcome any questions from those of you who may stumble across this site.

I'll try to add a few more articles in the next little bit that will explain what has happened since my return. Until then, I want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported me through this little adventure. For those of you reading who are just beginning this journey - rest assured that there is light at the end of the tunnel. The experience is what you make of it. Make the choice to make the best of your situation, and you might even be able to have a little fun along the way.

Chris Set To Come Home Oct. 14th

E-mail Print PDF

Chris will be released on October 14th. He will report to a halfway house in Minneapolis that same day, and after a 2 week orientation should be able to start working again. It is unclear how long he will remain at the halfway house---- could be a few weeks and could be until January, depending on which story is correct. He will be able to have visitors while there, but maybe not until after the first 2 weeks. After the halfway house he will go to home confinement until March, 2011, and after that he will be on probation for up to 2 years. Some folks have asked about a party but until we know what rules will be imposed we can't plan anything. Best guess is sometime in March or April.  I saw him last weekend and he looks great and is in good spirits, just anxious to get home. He's lost about 50 pounds and down to about 170.

Welcome

E-mail Print PDF

Welcome to my website.

This site was originally conceived as a means for me to provide updates to friends and family while I am away; however I also hope that others wanting to find information about the Yankton Federal Prison Camp will benefit from this as well.

The links to the left side of the page should be fairly self-explanitory.  They contain some useful information about Yankton, and the camp there.  There is also a section titled "Letters from Yankton".  Here I will try to be giving weekly updates during my incarceration to inform you about what life is like on the "inside".  Please be sure to check back often, as I hope to keep it updated weekly (thanks to some wonderful friends that have agreed to help maintain this site).

Also, if you have not already done so, please take a moment to create an account (by clicking the link at the left-hand side of the page).  By doing so, we can send you emails to inform you about any updates to the site (such as when new letters are posted).

Chris' New Release Date:  March 9, 2011.
